My name is Sarah Castaldi and I’m currently on exchange in Windsor. Originally I’m from Germany, studying at the University of Hohenheim. I’m taking Business & Economics Science with emphasize on International Business & Economics. My majors are Internal Management Functions, European Policy & Economy, International Business & Economics and Information Systems. Due to my widely diverse study, I’m allowed to extend my knowledge in a range of Business & Economics courses. This is what I like most about my study field – it’s not just a narrow-minded view of the Business world, but considers the macro dimension with all its complexity.

I already gained a lot of work experience during several internships and part-time jobs. One of the most interesting experiences was being involved in a marketing campaign for a tourism firm in New Zealand. After this adventure abroad I began another internship in Italy where I was responsible for order processing transactions and international customer service. I developed strong organizational skills through utilizing international experiences and languages to deliver superior customer care. One of my major strengths is probably communicating with people in different languages. Beside English and German, I’m able to communicate in Italian and I also have some working knowledge in French and Spanish.

At the moment I’m working as a Teaching Assistant for the Department of Economics. I’m responsible for two courses, focusing on Macroeconomics, providing office hours for students on a weekly basis for one on one tutoring is just one among many tasks I need to cope with.

Generally speaking I’m a very open-minded and flexible person who can adapt to different environments and situations. Enjoying life is my philosophy and I try to live up to it. This is why I’m really looking forward to the CBAR experience. It might be new and challenging, but at the same time promising and interesting. I can barely wait to start working.
