My name is Gerrit Steveling and I am currently an exchange student for Business Administration at the University of Windsor. My home university is the University of Mannheim in Germany, where I am in my fourth year. My concentrations are Industrial Management, International Business and Controlling.

This exchange year is not my first experience abroad. I spent grade 11 of my High School in Portland, Oregon. The chance to live in a foreign environment, live with a host family, and study in a different educational system has had a significant impact on my personality. I was also a scholar at the Global Young Leaders Conference in New York and Washington, where I was working together with 300 outstanding students from all over the world to simulate a global summit of the United Nations and gain a deeper understanding of the international relations involved.

Throughout my studies at the University of Mannheim, I have always been involved in the student council. My main task was the organization of the introduction for new students. Furthermore, I have worked in the Product Management department for SAP AG in Germany for one year, as well as in the Human Resources department of Starbucks Coffee Germany.

I am looking forward to participating in the CBAR course this semester and hope to get a chance to apply the skills I have acquired during my studies so far.
