My name is Kaitlyn Metz and I am a fourth year Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) Business Administration co-op student. I am currently working toward a concentration in Human Resources, as well as a minor in Labour Studies. After graduation I plan to obtain my CHRP (Certified Human Resources Professional) designation, as well as further my education with an MBA degree.

Through my three co-op placements I have been able to gain a great deal of practical HR experience which complements my classroom knowledge. During my first two work terms, I held the position of Management Assistant for the Ambassador Duty Free Store. I was primarily responsible for the administration of weekly payroll for a staff of both hourly and salaried employees. I also participated in the recruitment process, conducted new hire training and interacted with the union. In my final placement as the HR Intern at Chrysler Financial I gained a great deal of knowledge through the completion of reports and research relating to current HR topics and legislation.

In addition to my co-op experience, I have also held several positions in the retail sector which has given me the opportunity to develop excellent customer service skills and a strong work ethic. I look forward to applying my current education and work experience to CBAR and using these projects to continue to enhance my knowledge and skills.
