My name is Jessica Courtney, and I am a fourth year Economics student at the University of Windsor with minor concentrations in Mathematics and Statistics, and Political Science.
Over the past four years, I have been an active member of the Windsor and campus community through my involvement with clubs and societies and not-for-profit organizations. To mention a few, I am currently an executive member on the Golden Key International Honour Society Windsor chapter, and, in the past, have held a youth position on the Board of Directors for the Teen Health Centre.
My experience working with small businesses begins with my own grandfather's store located in Windsor. I have seen first-hand, the immense challenges small businesses face in today's economic environment. I have learned that it is important for small businesses to stay competitive, which involves strategic business and marketing plans, while also adopting new technologies to increase efficiencies in their organizations.
I am a dedicated, enthusiastic, and results-oriented individual, and believe that my skill set and interest in microeconomics will contribute greatly to each of the projects I will be working on.
