Steve enrolled at the University of Windsor in 2000 in the Honours Computer Science program as a part-time student. After 4 years of part-time studies Steve took a new direction in his studies when he switched to a double major in business administration and computer science. Upon graduation in 2007, Steve was accepted into the fast-track Master’s of Business Administration program, where he is scheduled to graduate at the end of summer 2009.
Steve has been employed in a plethora of capacities in his lifetime. His first leadership role came when he was promoted into a management position within McDonald’s Canada while still in completing high school. Later he re-enrolled as a Commissioned Officer in the Canadian Forces Reserves where he has held various leadership positions. In 2008 he was deployed to Afghanistan as part of Canada’s ongoing contribution to the NATO mission where he served in the National Support Element.
During his co-op term Steve was employed with EnWin Utilities in Human Resources Policy Development. During his brief three months there, he created and implemented a policy system that was previously non-existent.
Upon graduation Steve plans to continue his military career and begin a career in Human Resources with an aim to specialize in labour management relations. Steve is scheduled to complete the requirements for the Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation in May 2009.
When he is not diligently employed with the Canadian Forces or completing his studies, Steve can often be found on the ice rink stopping pucks, or cheering on his beloved Maple Leafs in vain.
