My name is Eli K. I am a student at the University of Windsor, Faculty of Law and Project Manager/Assistant to Dr. Schlosser for CBAR's Winter, 2009 term. Before leaving work to start my legal education, I worked as an IT consultant, was involved in music and media production, and served as the president of a local newspaper. I became involved with CBAR in the Summer of 2008. I was working with IPLIN in the creation of CBAR and IPLIN's joint creation of workshops for immigrant entrepreneurs. These workshops are a great example of CBAR's commitment to promoting economic sustainability, entrepreneurialism, and collaboration with organizations in the Windsor/Essex community.

I am currently a Citations Editor at the Windsor Review of Legal and Social Issues, an inter-disciplinary law journal with a focus on "Access to Justice". I have also volunteered for programs such as the Eleventh Colloquium on the Legal Profession.

I have always believed in making the community and the world a better place. This can be done in many ways: volunteering; improving access to information and education; furthering economic opportunities; and promoting professional ethics and responsibility. I hope to assist this term's CBAR team by giving them access to my professional and life experiences.
