Kari was born in Hong Kong and raised in Calgary. After finishing her undergraduate degree in biochemistry, she enrolled in the joint J.D./LL.B. program where she is in her third year.
Kari is an editor on the University of Detroit Mercy Law Review and gained legal experience through her work with IPLIN this past summer. In between studying, Kari can usually be found in the kitchen, working on her latest baking project.
