Hello, my name is Andrew Verlaan and I am currently in my final semester of studies in the Honours Business Commerce program at the University of Windsor. I am concentrated in Finance with a minor in English Literature. I also intend to complete my CMA designation after graduation and work in the field of corporate finance, eventually obtaining an MBA. My work experience is varied and includes positions in the accounting, sales and market research departments of large Canadian companies. 

In the future, I'd be interested in experiencing the work environment in smaller upstart companies which is why I am very excited about our partnership with Tech Town Detroit. I hope that CBAR will allow me to transfer some of the knowledge I have gained in the classroom to advance the organizations we are involved with. I also look forward to working with my team, developing my business skills and working to improve the community through economic and social advancement. It is a unique opportunity to be able to positively effect new companies and charities while earning a university credit and I am happy to be a part of it.
