My name is Mark Sims and I am a 2nd year Master of Business Administration (MBA) student at the University of Windsor. My focus of study is in the area of accounting. My undergraduate degree is in Engineering Systems and Computing from the University of Guelph. Subsequent to graduation it is my intention to complete the requirements of the Chartered Accountant designation.

I have a wide range of work experience. After completing my undergraduate degree I worked as a Controls Engineer for three (3) years at a medium sized engineering consulting organization. While working as a Controls Engineer I had the opportunity to work with organizations in the automotive, candy and confectionary, and food processing industries. During this time I also completed the requirements for the Professional Engineer designation and am now licensed as a Professional Engineer.

During my time spent studying for my MBA I have had the opportunity to work as a graduate assistant for courses in both finance and accounting. This has allowed me to refine and reinforce my knowledge in these areas.

I am looking forward to applying my knowledge and problem solving skills to assist local businesses through the CBAR program.
